[ad#336×280]Um preso da Penitenciária Regional João de Barros, em Picos (PI), faz da arte o desejo de liberdade e a capacidade de transformar sua vida. O ex-eletricista predial Paulo Francisco da Conceição, 29 anos, está preso provisoriamente há dois anos e sete meses e durante este período sem a liberdade, usou o tempo para aperfeiçoar sua arte de fazer carros de brinquedos com materiais que seriam jogados fora na prisão.
Paulo está recluso desde 2011 quando foi acusado do crime de homicídio praticado contra sua ex-mulher no dia 6 de junho.
Carros de brinquedo feito pelo detendo é rico em detalhes e imita peça original (Foto: Viviane Alves)Utilizando palito de picolé, uma serra feita com uma gilete, papelão, chapas de raio-x, embalagens de maços de cigarro, fósforo e outros materiais como resto de vidro de xampú, vidros de remédios e tinta. Paulo consegue transformar suas ideias em peças de artesanato.
“Esse último carrinho que fiz, uma pick-up modelo Ford F-250 levou 90 dias porque não tinha material adequado ou ferramentas. A matéria-prima base foi palito de picolé. A tinta que uso sou eu quem produz, através da queima de garrafas pets e outros materiais que fazem surgir um líquido com cor”, explicou Paulo Francisco.
Sobre o dom artístico, Paulo revelou que desde os 10 anos de idade já fazia os próprios carrinhos para brincar. “Como não tinha tantos brinquedos comecei fazendo carrinhos de lata. Na medida que fui crescendo aperfeiçoei a técnica e passei a produzí-los de madeira, procurando sempre deixá-los semelhantes aos carros de verdade, com assessórios parecidos aos que tinha nos carros originais”, disse Paulo Francisco.
Além de gostar muito de carros, ele destacou que quando era jovem já trabalhou como ajudante de mecânico, o que lhe trouxe ainda mais inspiração. “Sempre gosto de criar modelos utilizando minha imaginação. Sem modéstia, conheço muito de mecânica e tudo sobre carros, por isso aprendi tudo sozinho”.
A fabricação de carrinhos, que começou no ano de 1994, não parou mais. “Já adulto e trabalhando, mesmo exercendo outras profissões, continuei fazendo os carrinhos no tempo livre e nunca mais parei”, contou Paulo.
O artista também não sabe quantas peças já produziu, mas garante que foram muitas. “A maioria eu dei de presente, outras vendi. Essa F-250, por exemplo, foi a que demorei mais tempo para fazer e a que deu mais trabalho, não vou vendê-la prometi dar a um colega aqui do presídio”, informou.
Quando perguntado se é um artista, Paulo respondeu que acredita que sim. “Me considero, porque já fiz centenas de brinquedos e outros objetos e felizmente recebo muito elogios e o reconhecimento pelo que sou capaz de fazer”, destacou Paulo.
Sobre os sonhos que tem ao sair da penitenciária, Paulo diz que deseja poder viver de sua arte. “Queria poder viver disso, vender as peças em outros lugares. Também quero trabalhar, seguir a vida como um cidadão de bem. O que mais gostaria era poder trabalhar em uma empresa de carros, que valorizasse o meu dom. Esse é o meu maior sonho”, afirmou Paulo Francisco.
O detento destacou ainda o trabalho de ressocialização que é feito dentro da penitenciária. “Eu agradeço a Deus por ter me dado esta oportunidade de transformação e também aos trabalhadores do presídio que apoiam e confiam no meu artesanato”, finalizou.
Ressocialização
A Penitenciária Regional João de Deus Barros, localizada no Bairro Altamira em Picos tem se destacado pelo seu trabalho de ressocialização de presos. De acordo om o diretor Sinval Hipólito Gonzaga, a ressocialização tem sido a meta principal da unidade prisional.
“Além de cursos de violão e trabalhos artesanais a unidade disponibiliza cursos de serigrafia exibição de vídeo duas vezes por semana em cada um dos pavilhões. Ao todo, 25% dos internos estão diretamente ligados a trabalhos artesanais, sendo que mais de 80 já trabalham diariamente com esta atividade”, revelou Sinval.
Um dos projetos adotados é ‘Educando Para a Liberdade’, que conta com 30 alunos matriculados e o Pró-Arte, que ensina a construção de cofres artesanais e outros objetos com palito de picolé e madeiras resistentes.
“Um dos exemplos mais recentes que temos é o do detento José Domingo Galdino que após sair desta unidade prisional conseguiu se inserir no mercado de trabalho montado seu próprio negócio”, informou Sinval Gonzaga.
Para o diretor o maior desafio da unidade é superar a superlotação. Até o último mês de 2013, o número de detentos estava além da lotação do local, com 360 presos para uma capacidade de 144.
