Um mês após a tragédia, o 180graus teve acesso exclusivo aos depoimentos dados no cado do médico Marcelo Martins de Moura, envolvido no acidente na BR 343, que matou 5 pessoas da mesma família.
No depoimento o irmão do médico Lucas Martins de Moura, de 19 anos, confirmou que Marcelo dirigia o carro, retornando por volta das 3h30 da manhã do dia 09/06 de Campo Maior. Segundo Lucas, o irmão estava a 100 km/h, porém ele não soube explicar porque o irmão mudou de faixa, causando o acidente. Porém a informação mais importante ele dá na sequência do depoimento é quando confirma que ele e o irmão beberam, pelo menos, quatro doses de vodka antes de pegar a estrada.
A seguir Lucas dá a versão dele, dizendo que primeiro o irmão do médico fala que uma senhora perguntou se eles estavam bem e, quando eles perguntaram a ela como estavam as pessoas do outro carro estavam, ela disse que estavam todos mortos e recomendou que eles fossem embora para evitar maiores problemas. O depoimento segue com Lucas dizendo que pegaram carona com desconhecidos e, ao passarem pela Polícia Federal e indagados sobre o acidente, Marcelo confirmou que ele estava conduzindo a Hilux na hora do acidente e entregou os documentos aos policiais, que fizeram a prisão em flagrante.
VERSÂO DA PRF
A versão dada pelo inspetor Tony Carlos da PRF, que atendeu a ocorrência do dia do acidente diz que, quando a PRF chegou ao local os ocupantes da Hilux haviam deixado o local, sem prestar socorro às vítimas. Uma delas ainda estava viva: Rita Teixeira Soares Lima, 40 anos, que segundo testemunhas ainda pediu socorro. A versão da PRF segue (versão conhecida até, devido às várias entrevistas concedidas pelo inspetor Tony) afirmando que, ao ser encontrado pela barreira policial, o médico em momento algum assumiu ter conduzido o veículo, além de ter se negado a fazer o teste no bafômetro. Somente quando ao polícia pediu os documentos é que ficou confirmando que Marcelo Martins de Moura estava envolvido no acidente.
