Os problemas com a falta de água, voltam a atingir a população picoense. Desta vez, as vítimas são os moradores da localidade Cipaúba, distante 7 quilômetros, do centro urbano de Picos. A situação foi ocasionada após a bomba do poço artesiano da comunidade Lagoa Grande, que abastece a região ter sido furtada.
Moradores tem feito constantes reclamações, denunciando que a falta de água já atingiu o período de cinco dias, o que tem prejudicado a rotina da população na realização das atividades que necessitam do recurso.
O secretário municipal de Agricultura e Abastecimento, José Antônio Batista, esclareceu as causas do problema enfatizando as ações já tomadas para solucionar o problema.
“Já fomos procurados pelos vereadores que representam a região, assim como pela diretora da Escola Municipal São Gabriel, que nos oficiou contando a situação de falta d’água na localidade. Ao tomar conhecimento visitei a comunidade e constatei através de depoimentos o fato. Dessa forma, determinei que o técnico que opera diretamente com os poços fizesse uma avaliação. No poço que abastecia a Cipaúba, localizado na comunidade Lagoa Grande, tínhamos uma bomba de recalque, que foi roubada”, explicou o secretário.
José Antônio Batista acrescentou que está sendo estudada a possibilidade de instalar uma bomba na localidade Cipaúba, em um local mais apropriado. Para ele, a correção do problema deve ser feita em uma semana.
