Pé Trocado vence eleição em Sussuapara
O candidato da coligação Mudar Com a Força do Povo, Edvardo Antônio da Rocha, o Pé Trocado (PSDB), venceu a eleição no município de Sussuapara. Ele ganhou a eleição contra o médico Antônio Ferreira Rocha (PSD), da coligação Unidos Pelo Progresso, apoiado pelo atual prefeito Miguel Rocha (PMDB).
Apurados os votos, o candidato Pé Trocado obteve 2.493 votos ou 52,25% dos votos válidos, enquanto que Antônio Rocha teve 2.278 votos, ou 47,75% dos votos válidos. A maioria foi de 215 votos. O vice-prefeito eleito na chapa de Pé Trocado é o ex-vereador de Picos, Miguel de Moura Sousa, enquanto que o vice na chapa do candidato que perdeu as eleições foi o ex-prefeito de Sussuapara, Gilvan Carvalho Rocha.
A vitória de Pé Trocado quebra a hegemonia política do prefeito Miguel Rocha, que vem governando o município desde a sua emancipação. Eleito em 1996 e reeleito em 2000, Miguel Rocha elegeu o sobrinho Gilvan Rocha em 2004 e retornou ao cargo em 2008. O prefeito eleito no último domingo é irmão do atual vice-prefeito, Edilberto Antônio da Rocha.
Mesmo vencendo o pleito com ampla maioria de votos, Pé Trocado não conseguiu eleger a maior bancada de vereadores para a próxima Legislatura. Foram eleitos por sua coligação: Naerton Moura (417 votos) Pedro Ferreira de Carvalho (368 votos), Valdir Alves da Silva (276 votos) e Francisco Clementino de Souza (200 votos). Farão parte da próxima bancada de oposição: José Omar de Moura Fé (359 votos), Raimundo José dos Santos (344 votos), José Edivardo dos Santos (315 votos), Francisco dos Santos Moura (213 votos) e José Pereira Neto (196 votos).
